Andrea Cheese, a seasoned hairstylist, embarked on her journey in the beauty industry after rigorous training at the Long Island Beauty School in Hempstead, N.Y. At EHD Hair Designs, she honed her skills in styling and haircutting, quickly gaining recognition among her peers and clientele. In 1994, she established the renowned salon Shades of Essence Hair Designs, leaving an indelible mark with impeccable haircuts and exceptional color applications.

Her passion for growth led her to become a prominent figure in the trade show circuit, conducting platform artistry for Straight Request Products and hosting numerous seminars on hair cutting and coloring, all while nurturing and mentoring aspiring hairstylists.

Andrea's work has graced the covers and pages of various hair magazines, solidifying her reputation as a no-nonsense coordinator for major beauty productions. Her contributions to International Black Passion as a Senior Editor elevated the magazine to new heights, reflecting her astute industry insights and visionary approach.

Dedicated to giving back, Andrea invests her energy in mentoring and teaching budding beauty school graduates, propelling them to successful careers.

Amid managing her thriving salon in Farmingdale, N.Y., she founded THE EDGE BEAUTY, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to education and the continued advancement of the industry.
